After new opportunities arose in Clayton County in 2016, we began our ongoing dedication to service the community with Georgia Job Tax Credits. During our membership with the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce, we have met various business leaders and business owners, which has led us to the introduction of Terry Baskin, Clayton County Tax Commissioner.

Jeremy Stratton (right) as honorary speakers.

We were a proud sponsor of Terry Baskin’s “Off the Clock Mixer” at the Clayton State University‘s Student Activity Center on August 28th, 2018. The networking event included catered tapas and small plates from Occasional Occasions by Carlton and dynamic speakers featuring TRACS Group’s CEO, Jeff Kim, and Clayton County Chamber of Commerce’s CEO, Jeremy Stratton.

As shown: Balsamic kale salad with dried cranberries & pecans, shrimp cocktail, fried chicken cakes with hot mayo sauce, mac & cheese cupcakes, and spanikopita bites by Occasional Occasions by Carlton.

A resident of Jonesboro, GA since 1990, Terry Baskin proudly serves as the Tax Commissioner of Clayton County in Georgia. Prior to taking office, Baskin served four years as the Clayton County Deputy Tax Commissioner. He is currently a member of the Georgia Association of Tax Officials, as well as the County Officer Association of Georgia. He graduated from St. Leo University with a concentration in Business Administration. He furthered his education by becoming an alumni at Leadership Clayton and Regional Leadership Institute. When Baskin is not in his office, he commits his time on the Board of Directors of Arts Clayton as the Secretary/Treasurer, Girls and Boys Club of America Task Force, and Regional Leadership Forum.

We were happy to engage in this event to bring some of the business leaders of Clayton together to educate them on potential savings for their businesses. We hoped the organized program enlightened our attendees and helped them gain knowledge on the tax credits that are available to them.
